Annotation: Keura odorifera Forssk. lacks a type specimen and was based on a staminate plant collected in the actual Yemen region. Whether this plant is native or introduced by Indian marchants is unclear but the collection Hepper & Wood 6042 (K) from near the type locality clearly shows that this species is conspecific with the later P. odoratissimus L. f. (Type collected by Thunberg in Sri Lanka). It is however more pragmatic to continue using the long been used name P. odoratissimus L.f. but an official conservation proposal to IBN should be made soon.
