Type-Protologue
Locality: Originally discovered by Mr. J.C. Harvey in forests on the northern or Atlantic side of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in 1904. In 1911, Mr. Harvey sent to Kew a living plant which flowered in Aug 1912 and provided the material for our plate

  • HT: J.C. Harvey s.n.; 1904; Type based on cult. plants sent by Harvey from his garden in Sanborn, Veracruz to Kew in 1911 and grown there. (K) cult. plants originally collected by J.C. Harvey in 1904 on the Caribbean side of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
