Type-Protologue
Locality: Diese pflanze hat der berliner Garten aus dem Garten von Sansfouci erhalten, welchem Lessteren sie mahrscheinlich aus Petersburg zugesandt morden ist. Der Entdeder der pflanze ist herr von Warscewicz, der dieselbe seiner zeit bei Duessoltinango in Guatemala, am fursse eines Bulcanes, gefunden hat

Amer. 238 (1982), but cited "2 sheets of specimens of leaves and flowers" at B as "lectotype". At B, 3 sheets are present, none of which are considered original material. - fide Thiede (2014)
