Project Name Data (Last Modified On 7/26/2010)
Acceptance : Accepted
Taxon Profile     (Last Modified On 9/20/2010)
Distribution: Madagascar (native but not endemic), Comoros, Africa
Bioclimate: Dry, Humid, Subhumid
Type(s) of accepted name: W. Gueinzius - 79
Notes: According to the most comprehensive treatments of the group, the material from Madagascar and the Comoros is referable to X. caffra var. natalensis. That taxonomic decision is tentatively followed here. Five largely disjunct populations of the variety have been recorded for Madagascar. The variety is also known from Africa and Mayotte (Z.S. Rogers, 27 July 2010).
