Bromus rigidus auct., non Roth.

Anuales cespitosas. Tallos 5-120 cm. Hojas pelosas; lígula 3-7 mm; láminas 11-15 cm x 3-4 mm. Panícula hasta 20 cm, péndula. Espiguillas hasta 8 cm incluyendo las aristas; gluma inferior 15-20 mm, 1-nervia; gluma superior 25-30 mm, 3-nervia; flósculos 8-11; lemas 50-70 mm, 5-7-nervias, escabrosas o pelosas, el ápice con dientes acuminados 2-5 mm, la arista 35-60 mm. 2n=42-56. Áreas abiertas, perturbadas. G (de Konick 208, US). (O. Estados Unidos a Guatemala; introducida del Mediterráneo.)
