Rizoma largamente rastrero, ramificado; hojas 1–3 m de largo; pecíolo ca 1/2 de la longi­tud de la hoja, sin yemas en la base; lámina 3- ó 4-pinnada, glabra adaxialmente; eje de los penúltimos segmentos con alas herbáceas adaxiales; costas y cós­tulas tricomatosas abaxialmente, los tricomas septa­dos café claros; ápice de los nervios estériles delga­do; indusio globular.
