Notes:
Gaertnera inflexa is similar to G. cardiocarpa. The species as circumscribed here includes variation in length of the stipule lobes and shape and size of the inflorescence; plants from the southern and northern parts of the range could possibly be separable as subspecies, but are provisionally included in one species by Malcomber & Taylor (2009).
