This name was published as "longevaginalis" but is correctly spelled "longivaginalis". The two varieties are distinctive but not completely distinguishable morphologically.

West and Central Africa, in Angola, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo ("Cong-Kinshasa"), Republic of Congo ("Congo-Brazzaville"), Gabon, Guinea, Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, in humid forests at 150-1600 m.
