Notes: This genus belongs to Hillia subg. Ravnia, and is apparently pollinated by humminbirds. The corolla tube is typically curved. The stamens are exserted on relatively long flexuous filaments, an arrangement unique in Hillia.
Distribution: Wet premontane forests at 1000-1600 m, northern Costa Rica to western Panama.
