10. Hillia triflora (Oerst.) C.M. Taylor, Selbyana 11: 30 (1989). Ravnia triflora Oerst., Vidensk. Meddel. Dansk Naturhist. Foren. Kjøbenhavn 1852: 50 (1853 [1852]). Lectotipo (designado por Standley, (1938): Costa Rica, Oersted 11696 (foto F! ex C).

Arbustos hasta 2 m, suculentos, glabros. Hojas 4.5-16.5 × 1-5.8 cm, isofilas a anisofilas, lanceoladas a elípticas, coriáceas al secarse, la base obtusa a cuneada, el ápice acuminado; nervaduras secundarias 3-5 pares, pinnadas, aplanadas en el envés; pecíolos 1-12 mm; estípulas 23-71 mm, obtusas a agudas. Flores 1-3; pedúnculos hasta 2 mm; hipanto 2-8 mm; limbo calicino 2-13 mm, (5)6(7)-lobado, los lobos lineares a oblanceolados; corola tubular a marcadamente abultada en la porción media, roja a anaranjada, el tubo 30-70 mm, los lobos 6, 2-8 mm, triangulares, agudos a redondeados; anteras 6, 3-5 mm, sobre filamentos 1-3 mm; estigmas 1-2 mm, cortamente lineares. Cápsulas 45-95 × 8-12 mm, lisas; semillas 0.8-2.5 mm. Bosques premontanos y de neblina. N-P. 100-2400 m. (Mesoamérica, Colombia.)
