Group: Dicot Rank: species Kind: Name with Basionym Herbarium Placement: Monsanto, 2nd, A, 165

Authors: Published In: Nomenclator Botanicus [ed. 3] 108. 1797. (Nomencl. Bot. (ed. 3)) Name publication detail
Annotation: Is this a valid combination?; no basionym is cited, but the combination might still be acceptable under ICBN Art. 33.3 "if it would otherwise be a validly published name." The only conceivable premise for said validation is a classical symbol (#3 at the top of page 365 in Botanical Latin ed. 3) meaning "woody." However, that is a descriptive element, and ICBN Art. 32.1 imposes no minimal requirements for a description, so this apparently must be accepted as a valid combination.
