Notes: The bark of the species has been used historically to make "Papier Antaimoro", and the collections lying outside of the central plateau region may be from cultivated plants (e.g. Rakotozafy 951 from Ambohipeno, Fianarantsoa [humid bioclimate], Service Forestier 3111 from Andranofanjava, Antsiranana [dry bioclimate]).

Species has also been recorded near Kalambatritra PA.
