Musci Buitenzorg 4: 1179. 1923.

Plants yellowish green or reddish. Main stems prostrate, branches complanate, delicate, branches bearing filamentous gemmae at the apex of branches. Leaves ovate-lanceolate, entire, decurrent; alar cells well developed, colored or hyaline, quadrate or rectangular, usually thick-walled. Setae erect or slightly twisted, smooth; capsules ovoid; exostome cells thickening along the vertical walls, a row of perforations along the median line; basal membrane low, endostome segments linear.
