Haplocladium contains some 15 species rather widely distributed in tropical and temperate regions; 2-3 species in the Neotropics. Previously associated with the Thuidiaceae. The name Bryohaplocladium has been used in recent times. Only a single species recorded for Bolivia, see description and notes for Haplocladium microphyllum (Hedw.) Broth.

Haplocladium contiene unas 15 especies distribuidas muy ampliamente en regiones tropicales y templadas; 2-3 especies en el Neotrópico. Previamente asociado con Thuidiaceae. El nombre Bryohaplocladium ha sido usado recientemente. Una sola  especie fue registrada en Bolivia, ver las descripciones y notas para Haplocladium microphyllum (Hedw.) Broth.
