A genus of three species, only Palamocladium leskeoides is present in the Neotropics. Palamocladium is characterized by the rather strongly plicate, triangular-lanceolate leaves, short median cells (less than 50 µm long), firm-walled, quadrate alar cells, smooth setae, erect capsules, and long rostrate opercula.


Un género con tres especies, solo Palamocladium leskeoides (Hook.) E. Britton está presente en el Neotrópico. Este género se caracteriza por sus hojas triangulares-lanceoladas muy marcadamente plegadas, células mediales cortas (menores a 50 µm de largo), con paredes firmes, células alares cuadradas, setas lisas, cápsulas erectas y opérculo largo-rostrado.
