Notes:

Steereobryon, endemic to the Neotropics, is represented by two species. The genus is characterized by crispate, oblong-obovate or elliptical bluntly serrate leaves, with limbate margins, at least present on some leaves, narrow costa without or with 2-4 rows of 1-3 cells high lamellae, finely pluripapillose border cells, cylindrical capsule, and 32 peristome teeth. Steereobryon, es endémico del Neotrópico, representado por especies. El género se caracteriza por las hojas crispas, oblongo-obovadas o elípticas obtusamente serradas, con márgenes limbados, por lo menos presente en algunas hojas, costa angosta sin lamelas o con 2-4 filas de lamelas de 1-3 células de alto, borde de las células finamente pluripapilosos, cápsula cilíndrica y 32 dientes del peristoma.
