Leaves 3-4-ranked, closely appressed wet or dry, somewhat keeled, narrowly lanceolate, gradually tapered from the base to a narrow, bluntly acute apex; margins plane, entire; costa rather broad, subpercurrent or ± filling the extreme apex, yellow; cells yellow, smooth, long and narrow, with rather thick walls, those at the base somewhat broader, the alar not differentiated. Autoicous. Perigonial buds lateral, relatively large. Perichaetia terminal, with leaves somewhat larger but not otherwise differentiated. Setae none to somewhat elongate, curved to erect-flexuose; capsules immersed to distinctly exserted, globose to ellipsoidal, obliquely short-rostrate, smooth, operculate and annulate or inoperculate with annular cells very slightly differentiated or not at all; peristome none.
