Brachymitrion cochabambae shares with B. jamesonii a colored (whitish to yellowish) border, but differs in the immersed capsules. The type is from the montane forested slopes in the vicinity of Choquecamata.
 
Brachymitrion cochabambae comparte así como B. jamesonii presenta borde colorido (blanquecino a amarillento), pero se diferencia por las cápsulas inmersas. El tipo proviene de laderas de bosque montano cerca de Choquecamata.
