Plants small to medium-sized, up to ca. 2 cm high, bright green or yellowish green, in dense tufts. Stems erect, usually branched at base, tufted, radiculose at base. Leaves erect, imbricate, concave, oblong-ovate or spatulate, lower leaves smaller, ca. 1.3 mm × 0.6 mm, becoming larger upward, ca. 2.5 mm × 1.5 mm, rounded obtuse at apex; margins entire; costa ending below leaf apex; upper leaf cells irregularly quadrate to oblong-hexagonal, 40–70 µm × 15–20 µm, lax, thin-walled; lower cells larger, rectangular, thin-walled. Dioicous? Perichaetial leaves not differentiated. Setae ca. 6 mm long; capsules erect, with cylindrical urn, apophysis well developed, ca. as long as the urns; opercula bluntly conic, falling with columella attached; annuli none; peristome teeth 16, inserted below the mouth. Calyptrae not seen. Spores not seen.
