Plants medium-sized to rather large, green to yellowish, in loose or dense tufts. Stems erect, 2–8 cm, sparsely branched or with branches at top of stems, densely tomentose below. Leaves broadly ovate or triangular at base, acuminate toward apex, 1.2–2.2 mm long, more or less keeled; margins recurved, serrulate above, nearly entire below; costae percurrent or shortly excurrent; leaf cells rectangular or linear-rectangular, papillose at upper cell ends. Dioicous. Sporophytes not seen.
