Ecology. Open and forested Yungas and Tucuman-Bolivian montane to shrubby humid puna; shaded to more commonly exposed habitats, on soil and humus. Elevation. 1680-4270 m. Distribution. Bolivia: Chuquisaca, Cochabamba, La Paz, Santa Cruz, Tarija. World range: Mexico, Central America, tropical Andes.
 
Ecología. Bosque montano y montano abierto de Yungas y Tucumano-boliviano a puna húmeda arbustiva; hábitats sombreados a más comúnmente expuestos, sobre suelo y humus. Altitud. 1680-4270 m. Distribución. Bolivia: Chuquisaca, Cochabamba, La Paz, Santa Cruz y Tarija. Distribución mundial: México, Centro América, Andes tropicales.
 
Breutelia inclinata is distinguished by the wide-spreading to squarrose or deflexed leavesto 6 mm, appressed (sheathing) leaf base, lacking sulcate pockets (of differentiated cells), short excurrent costa, 2-6 well differentiated rows of inflated marginal cells extending to 1/2-3/4 the leaf base length, setae to 8 mm, and smooth to weakly rugose capsules to 3 mm.
 
Breutelia inclinata se distingue por las hojas ampliamente extendidas a escuarrosas o reflexas hasta 6 mm, base de la hoja adpresa (envainadora), sin bolsillos sulcados (de células diferenciadas), costa corto-excurrente, 2-6 filas bien diferenciadas células del margen infladas extendiéndose hasta 1/2-3/4 de la base de la hoja, setas hasta 8 mm y cápsulas lisas a débilmente rugosas hasta 3 mm.
