      Ecology. Possibly high Yungas montane or puna. Elevation. unknown. Distribution. Bolivia: La Paz. World range: endemic to the tropical Andes (Ecuador, Bolivia).

      Illustration.

      Breutelia reclinata is distinguished by deflexed leaves to 7 mm, orange colored, appressed (sheathing) leaf base, entire distal leaf limb, 3 pairs of sulcate pockets (short and lax cells) present at distal leaf base, weakly serrulate distal leaf limb, percurrent costa, weakly differentiated with 1-2 rows of basal marginal cells, setae to 25 mm, and capsules to 5 mm. Little is known about this species; the elevation in Ecuador is recorded between 2900-3000 m. Breutelia anomala R.S. Williams is a synonym.
