Plants small to medium-sized, yellowish green or yellowish brown, glossy, in loose mats. Stems prostrate, pinnately branched, complanate. Stem and branch leaves similar, broadly ovate or elliptical, 1.4–2.0 mm × 0.5–0.8 mm, plane, acute at apex; margins nearly entire; costae double, very short; median leaf cells linear, 60–90 µm × ca. 6.0 µm; apical cells shorter; alar cells quadrate or shortly rectangular. Autoicous. Setae 7–20 mm long, yellowish brown or dark reddish; capsules elongate-ellipsoidal, ca. 2.0 mm long, dark brown; opercula obliquely conic-rostrate; annuli well developed, consisting of 2–3 rows of inflated cells; exostome teeth lanceolate, papillose or papillosely striolate; endostome segments linear, smooth. Spores 13–20 µm in diameter, minutely to coarsely papillose.
