Grimmia reflexidens is characterized by the plane margins or recurved below, prominent, elliptical costa viewed in cross-section, 2-stratose, quadrate to short rectangular marginal cells with thick walled upper and lower ends of the cells, erect and straight setae, and exserted, ovoid capsules.
 
Grimmia reflexidens se caracteriza por los márgenes planos o recurvados en la porción basal, costa prominente, elíptica vista en corte transversal, células marginales cuadradas a corto rectangulares con paredes gruesas en los extremos superior e inferior, en 2 estratos, setas erectas y rectas, y cápsulas excertas, ovoides.
