Ecology: Humid lowland to premontane forest; on exposed roots and trunk of trees (include. Erythrina ) and palms, exposed tree roots, logs and rocks. Elevation: 5-1800 m (Venezuela: 40-350 m, Colombia: 5-900 m, Ecuador: 250-1800 m, Peru: 200 m, Bolivia: 120-255 m). Distribution: Pantropical, widespread in the Neotropics.
Ecología: Bosques húmedos de tierras bajas; sobre raíces expuestas y troncos de árboles (incluyendo Erythrina) y palmeras, raíces expuestas de árboles, leños y rocas. Elevación: 10-350 m (Venezuela: 40-350 m, Colombia: 10-350 m, Ecuador: 250-300 m, Perú: 200 m, Bolivia: 250 m). Distribución: Pantropical, amplia distribución en el Neotrópico.
Calymperes erosum is distinguished by the leaves to 4.5 mm, distinct band of stereids, mammillose cells of the ventral distal cancellinae, and gemmae present on both the ventral and dorsal surfaces.
Calymperes erosum se distingue por las hojas de hasta 4.5 mm, franja de estereídas conspicua, células cancelinas distales mamilosas en la superfiecie ventral, y yemas presente sobre la superficie ventral y dorsal.
