Illustration.

Camptodontium flexipes is distinguished by the smooth peristome, and little else. The type collection, originally as Dicranoweisia flexipes Herzog, is from Tunarisee, the same locality and time that Dicranoweisia fallax (= C. fallax) was collected by Herzog.
