Plants slender, yellowish green, glossy, in dense mats. Stems prostrate, to 2–3 cm long, pinnately branched, with dense, brownish rhizoids; branches 0.9–1.1 cm long, simple or with branchlets. Stem leaves ovate-lanceolate, 1.65–2.12 mm × 0.46–0.57 mm, shortly acuminate at apex, more or less concave; margins plane, entire below, serrulate above; costae slender, ending close to leaf apex; median leaf cells linear-rhomboidal, 63–90 µm × 6–8 µm; branch leaves narrowly lanceolate, 1.26–1.62 mm × 0.22–0.32 mm; margins serrulate above; median leaf cells linear, 56–87 µm × 4.5–6.0 µm; alar cells few, quadrate or shortly rectangular. Sporophytes not seen.
