Plants rather robust, yellowish green, glossy, in loose mats. Stems prostrate, irregularly or subpinnately branched, with ascending, simple, julaceous branches, ca. 1.0–1.3 cm long. Stem leaves imbricate, oblong-cochleariform, 2.3–2.7 mm × 0.7–1.0 mm, deeply concave, slightly plicate, abruptly narrowed, becoming a shoulder part, ending in a piliform apex; margins somewhat incurved, dentate at shoulder; costae reaching slightly over mid-leaf; median leaf cells linear, more or less vermicular, 85–103 µm × 6–8 µm, with rounded ends, thin- to moderately thick-walled; alar cells hexagonal or shortly rectangular, lax, in a distinct group; branch leaves smaller, 1.80–1.94 mm × 0.59–0.68 mm. Setae ca. 15 mm long, papillose; capsules inclined, asymmetric, ellipsoidal. Spores not seen.
