Bryoerythrophyllum inaequalifolium is distinguished by the axillary gemmae, oblong- to ovate-lanceolate leaves to 2 mm, obtuse-rounded apex, entire, revolute margins, and rectangular basal cells.
 
Bryoerythrophyllum inaequalifolium se distingue por presentar yemas axilares, hojas oblongo- a ovado-lanceoladas hasta 2 mm, ápices obtuso-redondeados, enteros, márgenes revolutos y células basales rectangulares.
