Plants medium-sized, bright green or yellowish green. Erect stems ca. 25 mm high, with leaves forming rosettes at stem tops. Leaves spathulate or obovate, gradually acuminate or abruptly apiculate; upper margins plane, serrate, lower margins more or less recurved; costae percurrent, in cross section without dorsal stereids; median leaf cells elongate-rhombic; margins bordered by 2–4 rows of narrower cells, rarely not clearly bordered. Capsules club-shaped; endostome segments well developed; cilia 3. Spores ca. 21 µm in diameter.
