Hikobia 9(4): 315. f. 1. 1986. Type: China. Sichuan, Weng-chwan Co., Wo-long Nature Preserve, alt. 4010 m, 1981, J.-X. Luo s.n. (holotype H; isotype PE).
Plants relatively small, 5–15 mm high, green, yellowish green or nearly brownish green, in loose tufts. Stems simple, erect, with brownish or reddish brown rhizoids at base. Leaves dense; lower ones small, leaves usually obliquely spreading, more or less keeled, ovate-lanceolate or lanceolate, slenderly acuminate at apex; margins nearly entire, rounded-denticulate above the middle; costae slender, ending near the apex or percurrent; median leaf cells narrowly rhomboidal, 50–90 µm × 4–9 µm, becoming narrower close to margins, but borders not differentiated. Gemmae irregularly or elongate-obovoid, each with 1–3 leaf primordia. Sexuality unknown. Sporophytes not seen.
