Notes:

      Ecology: Open montane; on soil. Elevation: 2500-3200 m. Distribution: Endemic to Colombia.

      The two species recorded from Colombia can be differentiated by the following sporophytic features: capsules elliptic-rounded in P. lindigianium and capsules globose in P. subenervis.

      Specimens: COLOMBIA. Antioquia: Churchill et al. 14136 (COL, HUA, NY); Cundinamarca: Lindig s.n. (BM, NY).
