Ecology. Humid puna; marsh and bogs, along shore of ponds and lakes, occasionally found submerged, on soil and rocks. Elevation. 3800-4560 m. Distribution. Bolivia: Cochabamba, La Paz. World range: widespread in the Northern Hemisphere, New Zealand.
Ecología. Puna húmeda; en ciénagas y pantanos, a lo largo de las orillas de estanques y lagos, ocasionalmente se encuentra inmerso, sobre suelo y rocas. Altitud. 3800-4560 m. Distribución. Bolivia: Cochabamba y La Paz. Distribución mundial: amplia distribución en el hemisferio norte, Nueva Zelanda.
Previously known by the name Drepanocladus intermedius (Lindb.) Warnst., a synonym of S. cossonii.
Anteriormente conocida con el nombre de Drepanocladus intermedius (Lindb.) Warnst., un sinónimo de S. cossonii.
