Ecology. Dry inter-Andean valleys; on soil. Elevation. 1650 m. Distribution. Bolivia: World range: northern Argentina and Bolivia. Chenia lorentzii is similar to C. leptophylla (also recorded for Bolivia), but has narrower leaves; dentation of upper margins is weak to distinct, and often apiculate. The type was collected by Lorentz in 1873 from Siambon in northwest Argentina.
