Orthodontium infractum Dozy & Molk., reported from Taiwan by Iwatsuki & Sharp (1970), was based on misidentification of a specimen (Iwatsuki 940, NICH), which belongs to Calymperes Sw. in Web.

Fl. Yunnanica 18: 385. 2002. Funaria lignicola Broth., Symb. Sin 4: 48. 1929. Type: China. Yunnan, St. Unter der Hütte Maoniubi am Berge Waha bei Yungning, alt. 3800–4030 m, Handel-Mazzetti 7137 (holotype H).
Orthodontium bilimbatum X.-J. Li & D.-C. Zhang in D.-C. Zhang & X.-J. Li, Acta Bot. Yunnan. 18(4): 416. 1996. Type: China. Yunnan, Zhong-dian Co., Tianchi, alt. 3750 m, D.-C. Zhang 138 (holotype HKAS).
Plants small, 4–6 mm high, fragile, green or yellowish green, slightly glossy, in loose or dense tufts. Stems simple or branched from the base, with dense hyaline or brownish rhizoids. Leaves flexuose or twisted when dry, erect-spreading when moist, narrowly oblong-lanceolate or linear, keeled, narrowed at base, shortly acuminate at apex, 2.5–4.5 mm × 0.4–0.6 mm, basal stem leaves smaller; margins plane, serrulate above the middle, borders distinctly differentiated except at base and apex, with (1–)2–3 rows of elongate, thick-walled cells, bistratose; costae ending just below the apex; median leaf cells oblong-hexagonal, 60–100 µm × 18–24 µm, shorter near the apex; basal cells loose, clearly larger than the cells above, oblong-rectangular, nearly quadrate close to the base. Gemmae pale brown, 2–5 cells long, mixed with rhizoids. Synoicous. Antheridia and perichaetia in leaf axils. Setae 5–8 mm long, curved above; capsules suberect, elongate-pyriform or elongate-ovoid, neck distinctly developed, grooved when dry; mouth smaller than urn; stomata present; exothecial cells thin-walled; opercula conic, shortly rostrate or blunt; annuli absent; peristome double; exostome teeth hyaline, rather short; endostome segments pale yellowish brown, linear, perforate below; basal membrane absent. Spores 13–17 µm in diameter, papillose.
