Parmentiera millspaughiana L.O. Williams, Fieldiana, Bot. 36: 28. 1973.

Arbustos 3–5 m de alto, los nudos armados con conspicuas espinas subyacentes a cada hoja. Hojas 3-folioladas; folíolos subredondeados a obovados, ápice redondeado; el folíolo terminal 0.5–3.5 cm de largo sin la base largamente atenuada y 0.4–2.5 cm de ancho. Inflorescencia una flor solitaria terminal, blanca; cáliz algo obtuso, agudo en yema, 1.8–2 cm de largo; corola 3.5–4 cm de largo. Fruto linear, 16–24 cm de largo y 0.5–1 cm de ancho, superficie finamente estriada, no acostillada.

Poco común, bosques húmedos y de galería, zonas pacífica y atlántica; 200–600 m; fr jun–nov; Grijalva 2820, Moreno 18012; México (Colima y Yucatán) y Nicaragua.
