Medium sized trees. Leaves large, pinnate; leaflets entire. Flowers large, in terminal panicles. Calyx large, not spathaceous, glandular. Stamens 4,subexserted. Disk large. Ovary appressed hairy. Capsule without a false septum, cylindrical, curved, dehiscing loculicidally. Seeds discoid, winged.
