Notes: The identification and nomenclature of the genus has been problematic, even the common names are very ambiguous - for example citron refers to different sp. in English and in French. In addition to the naturalized species, several are cultivated for their edible fruit, notably: C. aurantiifolia (true Lime; Key Lime; Tsoha; Voasary makirana); C. limon (Lemon; Tsoha; Voasary makirana); C. maxima (Pomelo; Shaddock; Voasary angy be); C. reticulata (Mandarin; Tangerine); C. sinensis (Sweet Orange; Voasary; Voahangy).
