Hierbas perennes, hasta 55 cm, erectas, hirsutas. Hojas caulinares, sésiles; láminas (2.5-)4-6 × (0.3-)0.5-1.3(-1.5) cm, lineares a lanceoladas, la base escasamente redondeada a aguda, el ápice agudo a acuminado, en envés blanquecino-peloso. Inflorescencias terminales, cimosas, fuertemente enrolladas. Sépalos lineares, hirsutos; corola amarilla, el tubo 1.8-2.8 cm, infundibuliforme a tubular, los lobos 1-2.2 mm, redondeados a agudos, patentes; estilo exerto 1-2 mm. Nuececillas c. 4 × 2-3 mm, ovoides, foveoladas, blancas a pardo-amarillentas, algunas veces con un pie muy pequeño. Bosques de Pinus-Quercus. Ch (Breedlove 51263, MO); G (Steyermark 51772, F). 1400-1900 m. (Endémica.)
