Notes: The presence of the genus in Madagascar is rather doubtful. The 3 spp. accepted by Perrier de la Bâthie, that we accept provisionally, are very poorly known, and appear to be rather similar to Monoporus, rather than Badula (which is otherwise known only from the Mascarenes). Treated in Fl. Madagasc. under the Myrsinaceae.
