Notes:
This ex-Verbanaceae genus is poorly known. de Kok (2001: 586) re-examined the type and only known material and concluded that it should represent a Clerodendrum species, probably either C. arenarium or C. mytifolium or a close related species. Further investigations in 2013 by M. Callmander (MO),J. Wearn (K) and R. de Kok (K) further confirm that its taxonomic placement must clearly be under Clerodendrum and the genus is here considered as a synonym of the latter genus.
