Type Specimens
  • LT: Herb. Hermann 2: 2; 4: 71, No. 369. (BM-SL) LT designated by Soepadmo & Edi Hamli in Soepadmo (ed.), Tree Fl. Sabah Sarawak 2 : 399 (1996). From the Linnaean typification website: "Polhill (in Kew Bull. 19: 143. 1964), and some later authors, have indicated material in Herb. Hermann 2: 2; 4: 71 (BM) as syntypes but as the use of this term implies no intention to indicate a single nomenclatural type (unlike the use of holotype, lectotype or neotype), this is not regarded as a correctable error. Soepadmo & Edi Hamli, however, indicated the same material simply as "type". Although there is material in two volumes, it appears to have been part of a single gathering, so their statement is accepted as the first typification (Art. 9.15)."
