Notes: This species is characterized by its rather short bilobed stipules, medium-sized leaves, pyramidal yellow inflorescences with generally small bracts, short calyx limbs, tubular white corollas, and ellipsoid flattened fruits. It is generally similar to Palicourea thyrsiflora and these can be subtle to separate as herbarium specimens.
Distribution: Wet premontane to montane forest vegetation, central Colombia to northern Bolivia.
