Note: Attribution to Tanna (Vanuatu) in protologue apparently erroneous. Original material mostly likely from New Caledonia, the island where the species is endemic [ZSR, 2009]. The name was based on a mixture of staminate and pistillate plants, with the latter probably represented by both flowering and fruiting material [ZSR, 2018].
