Plants in compact mats. Main stems prostrate, irregularly branched; branches short to long, less than 1 cm long, somewhat complanate. Stem leaves less than 1 mm long, broadly rounded ovate, shortly to long acuminate, serrate at apex; costae absent; leaf cells elongated rhomboidal to linear, smooth, ca. 65 µm × 6 mm at apex, ca. 65 µm ´ 8 µm in the middle; alar region consisting of several large, inflated cells, ca. 77 µm × 27 µm. Sporophytes on main stems. Inner perichaetial leaves narrow, erect, plane at apex. Setae slender, erect, ca. 1.7 cm long; capsules erect or slightly inclined, oblong-ovoid, ca. 2.5 mm × 0.7 mm; opercula conic, shortly obliquely rostrate; annuli differentiated; peristome double.
