2. Bryhnia hultenii E. B. Bartram in Grout   短尖燕尾藓   duan jian yan wei xian
Moss Fl. N. Amer. 3(4): 264. 1934. Type: North America.
 
Plants medium-sized to rather large. Stems prostrate, ca. 4–8 cm long, densely subpinnately or irregularly branched; branches ca. 2.0 cm long, more or less julaceous, attenuate at tips. Stem and branch leaves more or less similar, closely imbricate, broadly ovate, 0.93–0.99 mm × 0.83–0.92 mm, concave, sometimes plicate, acute or apiculate, often cucullate at apex, decurrent at base; margins serrulate or irregularly dentate above; costae ending close to leaf apex; median leaf cells elongate-rhombic, 27–35 µm × ca. 5 µm, with rounded ends, thin-walled; upper and marginal cells shorter; basal cells elongate-hexagonal; alar cells distinctly differentiated, inflated, quadrate or shortly rectangular, thin-walled. Perichaetial leaves lanceolate, ecostate. Setae 12–15 mm long, brownish; capsules ovoid to elongate-ovoid, somewhat asymmetrical. Calyptrae cucullate, smooth. Spores ca. 10–13 µm in diameter, nearly smooth.
