Plants medium-sized, green, glossy, in flat mats. Stems prostrate, ca. 3.0–3.5 cm long, subpinnately branched; branches 1.0–1.5 cm long, often curved at tips. Leaves ovate or elliptical, 1.7–1.9 mm × 0.6–0.9 mm, strongly concave, acute, often bent at apex; margins entire below, serrulate near apex; costae double, very short or absent; median leaf cells linear, 45–55 µm × 4–5 µm; apical cells slightly shorter; alar cells numerous, quadrate, extending nearly close to costa at leaf base. Autoicous. Perichaetial leaves sheathing at base. Setae ca. 15 mm long, yellowish; capsules erect, cylindrical, 2–3 mm long; opercula long conic-rostrate; annuli absent; exostome teeth triangularly lanceolate, cross-striolate in basal 1–3 plates, abruptly becoming vertically or obliquely striolate, then papillose or smooth at tips; endostome segments linear, shorter than teeth, smooth. Spores not seen.
