This species is characterized by the slender plants, concave leaves, prorate leaf cells, and weak costae.

13. Gollania tereticaulisBroth.   圆枝粗枝藓  yuan zhi cu zhi xian
Akad. Wiss. Wien Sitzungsber., Math.-Naturwiss. Kl., Abt. 1, 133: 583. 1924. Type: China. Yunnan, Yunnanfu, Handel-Mazzetti 5733.
 
Plants small, pale yellowish green or pale brown. Stems prostrate, 4–5 cm long, irregularly or pinnately branched; stem elliptic in cross section; leafy stems flattened; branches terete, unequal in length, ca. 1 cm long; pseudoparaphyllia lanceolate, 3–6 cells wide. Stem leaves sometimes slightly secund, differentiated; dorsal leaves slightly falcate, concave, elliptic-lanceolate, 1.5–1.7 mm × 0.6–0.7 mm, gradually and slenderly acuminate, nearly cordate and slightly decurrent at base; margins recurved nearly throughout, serrulate above, entire below; costae double, short and weak, 1/15–1/9 the leaf length, separate at base; median leaf cells narrowly rhomboidal, 45–60 µm × 3–4 µm, prorate, thick-walled, porose; alar cells differentiated, in 3–5 longitudinal rows, 4–5 transverse rows; ventral leaves plane at apex; branch leaves smaller, 1.1–1.3 mm × 0.4–0.5 mm.
