Plants slender, pale green. Stems creeping, irregularly branched, branches elongate, ca. 4 mm long; central strand not clearly differentiated. Stem leaves and branch leaves somewhat differentiated, ovate to oblong- or ovate-lanceolate, gradually acuminate, 1.0–1.2 mm × 0.3–0.4 mm; margins plane, rarely recurved at base, nearly entire; costae double or indistinct; leaf cells narrowly rhomboidal, smooth, median cells 40–60 µm × 5–6 µm; alar cells numerous, lax, quadrate, 5–7 rows, with 15–30 cells extending along the margins. Autoicous. Perichaetial leaves enlarged, broader at base, long-acuminate. Setae short or elongate, reddish; capsules small, erect to horizontal, cylindrical; opercula conic, shortly rostrate; peristome double; exostome teeth lanceolate, pale yellowish, with zigzag median line on dorsal surfaces, trabeculate on the ventral surfaces; endostome segments with high basal membrane, cilia absent. Spores papillose.
