Plants small, slender, yellowish green, glossy. Stems prostrate, 2.0–2.5 cm long, irregularly and densely branched; branches 2–3 mm long; in stem cross section epidermal cells large, thin-walled, outer cortical cells 2–3 rows. Stem leaves and branch leaves similar, ovate- to elliptic-lanceolate, 0.8–1.2 mm × 0.3–0.5 mm, slenderly acuminate, decurrent at bases; margins plane, serrulate above the midleaf; costae double, short; leaf cells linear, 90–100 µm × 4–6 µm; alar cells few, slightly differentiated, with a large cell and a few smaller, rectangular cells, thin-walled, hyaline. Autoicous. Inner perichaetial leaves suddenly narrowed to a slender acumen. Capsules obovoid, ca. 1.2 mm × 0.8–0.9 mm, not curved; endostomal cilia none or rudimentary. Spores 18–20 µm in diameter.
